Dispute Resolution & Legal Proceedings Policy

9.1 Internal Complaints

  • All complaints or disputes must be reported through the in-app support system within 24 hours of the incident.
  • SwiftCab will review and mediate disputes in a fair and transparent manner.

9.2 Civil Disputes (Non-Criminal)

  • If internal resolution fails, disputes will be referred to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act, 2023 (Nigeria).
  • The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding on all parties.

9.3 Criminal Matters

  • Suspected criminal offences (e.g., assault, harassment, theft, fraud, property damage) will result in:
    • Immediate suspension of the alleged offender’s account.
    • Formal reporting to the Nigeria Police Force or relevant authorities.
    • Full cooperation with investigators and prosecutors.
  • Criminal cases will proceed under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Nigerian courts.

9.4 Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • Either party may seek interim or injunctive relief from any Nigerian court with proper jurisdiction.
