Shared Ride Policy

1. Purpose

This policy sets out the rules and expectations for SwiftCab’s ride-sharing feature, ensuring fairness, safety, and comfort for all participants.

2. Eligibility

Shared rides are available only to riders whose pickup and destination points are within reasonable proximity, as determined by the SwiftCab system.

3. Timing

Riders may be required to wait a maximum of 5 minutes for co-passengers. After this time, the trip may proceed without additional riders.

4. Fare Splitting

The system automatically calculates and splits fares among riders. Riders may not negotiate or request separate fare arrangements with other passengers or the driver.

5. Privacy & Comfort

• No seat overcrowding is permitted in shared rides.
• Harassment, inappropriate behavior, or discomforting actions toward co-riders or drivers are strictly prohibited.

6. Driver Rights

Drivers reserve the right to refuse service to unsafe, disorderly, or non-compliant riders in a shared trip. Such incidents may result in account suspension or termination for the rider.

7. Safety

All riders and drivers must follow traffic laws, wear seatbelts, and maintain safe behavior throughout the journey.
